In October 2023, I had the opportunity to run in the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon to raise money for an organization of my choice.  I picked Ovarian Cancer Canada as I had seen how devastating this disease could be after my mother passed away from Ovarian Cancer in February 2020.  Funding for this organization could support research into finding screening tools and biomarkers for earlier detection of the disease and also help provide support services for patients and their families suffering from this disease. 

With the generosity of friends and family, I was able to raise $144.63 for the organization and our group was able to raise over $9000 dollars in total.
